The other day, watching a CD-rom of nursery rhymes, my daughter asked 'but why did jack fall and jill come tumbling?' Apparently, the 'hill' in the CD didn't look very slippery so my li'l one figured they could've as well walked happily back.
Err..any answers?

Tell her Jill pushed Jack as Jack was arguing too much :)...
...and that is what happens when mummys & daddys fight :)
Because they weren't watching where they were going, and that's why one fell and the other tumbled. Lesson to be learnt children - you should always watch where you are going. Hill can be slippery even if they don't look slippery ;) :D
Hahaha....gratis 'n' khushee, will tell that to my daughter, let's see how she reacts. More questions comin' up here..
So sweeeeeet...ehhhe, questions posed by kids can really make you think at tiems. Sometimes it just makes us realise how many things we justs eem to have taken for granted...eheh! Don't ask me for answet, haven't thought one yet.
i always wondered too!
anyway,. maybe this is a good time to sneak in a lesson on how you could slip / fall (and then tumble) even in the best of grounds!
shobha: yep, precisely the point i was trying to drive home..and today's kids don't take anything at face value
ricer: nice point!
I already love your kid!! Is she like that now too? If she was in nursery in 2003 she must be about 13 now?
