He held the girl at gunpoint.
“Stop,” he told the cops, “or I shoot her.”
The girl sobbed.
“Shut up,” he told her.
Then his mobile rang.
“Shit, my wife. It’s our anniversary today. Here, hold that will you?”
He gave the girl his gun.
