Floating ovation

Mumbai Nightmare. Couldn't be worse. Could've been worse. Hundreds of lives lost. A city subjected to nature's wrath. A city subjected to an excuse for infrastructure. Unthinkable. Crazy...whatever, words escape the mind. But one thing is certain. Mumbaikars are made of a different earth. Blow 'em up, drown 'em, cut 'em up...but they'll bounce right back, like the punch doll. Hats off to you guys.

God bless.

Thanks, sire! Although I have really been touched by the city and its citizens ever since I landed.

Mumbaikar spirit is indomitable...
Like a jack in the box...
no matter how many times you screw it down it comes back with a spring in its step...

Yes, but did you see Lee's post on this? I so agree with her. It's time Mumbai stopped being strong and silent. Anything to wake the government up!!

Instead of bouncing back as usual, I'd rather we bumped off our politicos, but then that's a weary suggestion oft-made.
I'm simply reassured that far more people came out to help than the ones who tried to take advantage of helplessness.

but whats the point in bouncing back, if it means helping out incompetence??.. and i do think, maybe, just maybe, we aren't supposed to bounce back!!

Twilight Fairy: hmm...point.

Sudipta Chatterjee: welcome back :)

Goan Pao: yup, jack in the box..

d4u: I agree...

nish: :)

aqua: *thumbs up*

GratisGab: I see your point. I guess, the very strength of mumbaikars is being used to the politicos' benefit.

Rhyncus: Now, that's true as well. All I can say is, the situation in Mumbai has got to improve and mumbaikars must unite and protest in the same way as they displayed valor.

manuscrypts Hmmmmmm...it's in the mumbaikar's blood to be that way. What's happened to the political situation and thus, the state's is a downslide that needs to be checked.

KJ: :)
