Starting from scratch

Shikha walked into the kitchen, sleepy-eyed, switched on the light and opened the windows. The clock in the microwave oven showed 5 am. It was still dark outside.

Yawning, she absently pulled out the percolator. She poured the coffee powder and water into it and switched it on. Rubbing her eyes, she looked at the cabinet above her and was about to open it when she felt an itch in her back and before she could reach her hand behind, she felt Anish's hands, gently scratching the place.

She moaned and chuckled at the same time. "Awww, baby...thanks."

She closed her eyes, savoring the moment. It felt so good. They'd moved into this new flat a couple of months back, and things had been just perfect. Anish had taken a few days off just help her set up their love nest. Theirs was a fairytale wedding, and sometimes she couldn't believe life could be so good.

It was perfect. Almost. The scratching continued. She giggled. And knowing Anish, she knew what was going to happen next, and she smiled at the thought.

"You're a bad boy, you know that?" She purred and turned back to drown herself in his arms.

There was no one behind her.

Love story mein ghost! why did have to go and do that. Honestly I could not savor the love feeling since I knew you were going to pull in a ghost somewhere ;)

Kanthu: :P

Rohu: Seriously? Was it useful? I didn't continue with what could've happened next (keeping in mind it's not Anish at all, in the first place). It just starts from scratch, doesn't end there :P

Keirthana: Love story? Naah..it's just initial thoughts Shikha has about her so called 'perfect' life...no love feelings to savor here, was just a decoy, right? :P

Why would you do that? It was getting so sweet!
But I still liked how it ended! :D

Phatichar !

I was hoping it kinda shocked her out of her wits and ended there leaving her quite shaken.
And then, I read your comment and title - starting from scratch.

How could you?

psst. your comment sections are so interesting to read :P

Paanipuri Lover: Hey..your first comment? (BTW, I love your blogger name, hehehe).

Anyway, coming back to your question, I don't know why I did it...I guess I'm used to shaking things up in the middle of 'sweet' things, sometimes not so sweet.

Thanks, glad you liked it. Do drop in more often. :)

Toffee: Hello! Hehe..everyone's miffed with me, I see. But well..*shrug*, that's just me. Yeah, my comments section is more entertaining at times.. :P

And according to your answer to Rohu, it could have been more scary if you continued? Are you planning to continue?

Hey, You have an award on my blog :) Take care

sumitra said...

What if the scratching never stopped. What if it continued until she was scratched until she bled to death :D

I read this one to M. He was disappointed with the butting in of the ghost. Says it would have been a better story if it indeed was the husband and they ended up doing 'you know what'. Men!! (Eye-roll).

I'm quite new here, but I can guess how u go about ur day:
Wakes up, goes bleary-eyed to wash basin, peers at mirror, thinks: yahan ghost hota toh?
Pours a hot cuppa, thinks: yahan ghost hota to?
Switches on iPod, thinks: yahan ghost hota to?
Goes for morning jog, thinks:..
:P
btw this ghost looks quite useful :D
